PARENTS: Please do not think your student is safe! Talk about this issue. Its not an easy one but you do not want to take any chance. Pray hard for them and NEVER give up on them! Love them the way Christ loves us! There is hope! There is healing! There is a way out! Suicide is NOT the answer!

God comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

To Save A Life

Ignition Summer is OVER! It seems like yesterday we just started and just last night we closed it with a NASTY, EPIC and SMELLY Food Fight! Job well done:)

But we also had the chance to watch To Save A Life. AMAZING movie and great reminder of who we need to be and who we don’t need to be. The movie tackles a bunch of situations that High Schoolers are facing today in school. Suicide, cutting, drinking, weed, parties, sex, peer pressure, fitting in, status and the pressure to live up to everyone’s expectations. Kids these days have it hard and these are REAL things that they are walking into today. PARENTS: please do not push this aside and think that you’re student will never come face to face with any of these situations. Watch the movie!

As we start this school year of 2010-2011, I wanted to give our students a NEW focus of reaching out to the kids eating by themselves, the kid everyone makes fun of, the weird-o’s, the UNLOVED. We can make a difference on our campus and in our lives, be BOLD, be STRONG, be WISE, be LOVE and BE JESUS!
