Growth Phase

We are all DESIGNed to Grow! Take a minute right now to see where your life has been the last day, week, month, year and years! We are all changing every moment of our lives…for better or for worse.

Ignition is coming to an end in the DESIGN Series and this last week we looked at our Growth Phase. Focusing on our Spiritual Growth Phase, are you in an infant, adolescent, teenage or adult stage?  Where would  you see yourself and where do you think that other people would say you’re at?

We looked at David and Goliath and focused on David and where he was in his life. Looking at him and where God had placed him as a young guy, where he stood up and how he was in a place to grow! When his brother yelled at him, then Saul said he was just a boy but then saying GO! David was in a good spot and working where God DESIGNed him.

How are you connecting with Jesus? How are you connecting with your friends? How are you growing? What Phase are you in and how are you getting to the next phase? Looking at David’s life and how he stepped out in faith to grow…where are you doing that? Where do you need to step out? How does your faith need to grow?

Pray?

Read?

Worship?

Love?

Silence?

Solitude?

Forgiveness?

Humility?

God wants us to grow…where are you at?

The Gifts

Spiritual Gifts!!! Mike Morales  is right in the middle of the DESIGN series, exploring our God given DESIGN for our life. He has been talking with Ignition and looking at the PURPOSE of Gifts, spent some time FINDING our Gifts and starting to USE them. God has given followers of Him the Gifts to build up the church and Glorify Him!!! Go has made all of use in different ways and He did that on purpose. We all have a reason to be here…no one is here by chance. If you claim to be a believer in Christ and everything He did on the cross…you have Gifts that you need to be using!

3For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. 4Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. 7If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; 8if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. Romans 12:3-8

Experience PAIN at IGNITION

Week 2 in our D.E.S.I.G.N. series was all about Evaluating our Experiences in life! We all have had good and bad Experiences in life but God wants to use them for His Glory. Mike Morales talked about the pain that he had to deal with when he was a child when his parents went through a divorce. At first, he didn’t understand the situation or the pain. But as life went on…the pain came to surface! Being involved with church and knowing that God is a FAN of Marriage and desires a man and a woman to stay together until the end in marriage, this confused him. He went through a number of venues to fill the pain…drinking, drugs, girls, parties, eating, jokes, lying, and so many more…but none of these ever filled that void.

What pain are you dealing with? School, parents, kids, work, friends, pets, life, ministry…where is your pain from? How are you dealing with it? What does Jesus do for our pain?

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

He wants to comfort us and show compassion! He LOVES us! He wants your pain to leave a scar, not a wound, so that you can remember the pain. He wants you to use YOUR story to glorify Him! He wants to use your pain that you are starting to deal with to help someone else through their hard time. Think about that person that was there for you in your pain…go that name…who is that person to you? How have they helped you through the pain?

Now…imagine if everyone used their pain and their Experiences of life to Glorify God! What if we started working through our pain and bless someone else? What would this mean for the Kingdom?
